A gang of black youths in Baltimore, MD, chased a Hispanic man and beat him with the butt of a handgun, while shouting, "This is for Trayvon!"
Matt Blake reports for the Daily Mail that on the evening of July 15, 2013, just before 9 pm, real estate agent Christina Dudley was returning to her car from walking her dog when she saw several young black males and two black females chasing a 37-year-old Hispanic man down the street at the crossroads of E. Fairmount Ave. and N. Streeper St. in Baltimore.
Dudley immediately posted an account of what she witnessed on a community Facebook page.
She told police "One of the boys had a handgun out and it was pointed at the back of" the Hispanic victim. The gang then set upon the man, punching, kicking and stamping on him, yelling expletives. "They were just yelling and calling him names as they ran after him, but once they were hitting him and after that they started repeatedly yelling, 'This is for Trayvon!'."
So Dudley shouted to the gang that she was calling police, and the attackers scattered.
According to the police report, the unnamed victim told officers that he was standing in the cross roads of Fairmont and N. Potomac Street when a group of five black males approached him. He said they were all between 16 and 18 years old. One of them, about 6 foot tall and with a mohawk, lifted his shirt to reveal a silver handgun in his waistband as he said: "What's up?"
Three of the attackers are described as "skinny" and one as "fat." Police are yet to make any arrests.
The Baltimore incident is only the latest in a series of apparent "revenge attacks" over the acquittal of George Zimmerman for the shooting death of 17-year-old, 5' 11" black teenager Trayvon Martin last year.
Long before Zimmerman's trial and the "not guilty" verdict, back in April 2012, a 78-year-old man, Dallas Watts, was brutally attacked by six young thugs in East Toledo, Ohio.
While Watts was down on the ground, the "boys" kicked him over and over, shouting, “[Get] that white [man]. This is for Trayvon … Trayvon lives, white [man]. Kill that white [man],” according to a police report.

However, two days after the beating, Toledo police said the robbery and assault of Dallas was not racially motivated and that Dallas' account of what happened "appears to be a little bit exaggerated" (whatever that means), although police confirmed the old man indeed had been assaulted and robbed.
