The University of South Australia is looking for a Lecturer / Senior Lecturer in Aviation. The School of Engineering has an excellent national and international reputation in applied research. In the core areas of advanced manufacturing and sustainable systems and technologies, the School has extensive collaborative research projects and industry links with Australian enterprises as well as with organisations and research institutions from around the globe, including the nearby internationally-renowned Adelaide Technology Park, the Defence Science and Technology Organisation, and major contractors such as BAE Systems, Codan, Clipsal, Computer Systems Corporation and ETSA Utilities.
The engineering curriculum focuses on energy and information, in how they are generated, processed, transferred and controlled. The School offers a select few of its academic programs overseas (offshore), and has formal partnerships with a number of international academic institutions.
The discipline of Aviation is growing in prominence as it adjusts to meet the market's needs. The undergraduate program will continue to diversify with additional streams and is complemented by post graduate studies in the ever growing fields of Human Factors, Safety Management Systems and Occupational Health and Safety Management.
As the first university in Australia to offer a tertiary qualification for pilots, the University of South Australia (UniSA) continues to be the only university in South Australia to offer Aviation as a tertiary qualification, and is one of only two Australian universities to operate its own flying school.
