My question for Barack Obama

Barack Obama likes to answer questions – from John Stewart, from the gang on “The View,” from David Letterman, from a fawning media establishment.

But the nation witnessed what happened when Mitt Romney asked him a few tough questions.

He crumbled like an empty suit.

I doubt very much if Obama will ever allow me to interview him – or even ask one tough question. After all, who am I? I’m only a guy running the first and largest independent news source on the Internet, with an audience of 8 million. I’m only a guy who before launching WND 15 years ago, when he was a freshman state senator from Illinois, was running daily newspapers in major metro markets, having spent 25 years doing everything one can do in the media world.

So I will ask my rhetorical question right here.

“Barack Obama: You appeared recently on a Comedy Central show and said repeatedly that the cold-blooded murders of U.S. Ambassador Chris Stevens, Sean Smith, Glen Doherty and Ty Woods in a Libyan terrorist attack was ‘not optimal.’ Your administration, in a program called ‘Fast and Furious,’ announced in the White House with some fanfare, sold automatic weapons and other firearms to Mexican drug lords resulting in the deaths of possibly hundreds of Mexican citizens and several U.S. citizens, including two law enforcement officials. As a state senator in Illinois you sponsored legislation that would deprive babies that survived abortion attempts any lifesaving medical treatment or nourishment – leading to their slow agonizing deaths. With a record like that, can you stand before God and the American people and tell us honestly that you place a high value on human life?”

I don’t expect an answer – not even from Obama’s snotty, little, self-righteous, know-nothing spokesmen.

But the question needs to be asked.

I only wish the preface could be much longer.

For instance, did you know that Obama is illegally funding China’s forced-abortion program with your tax dollars? If your stomach is strong enough, check out the story and the accompanying video interview with a Chinese “family planning official.”

Then there is his edict to force U.S. employers – including those with moral and conscientious objections – to provide abortion services in their health-care plans.

Then there is his almost religious zeal to support Planned Parenthood, the largest abortion racket in the country, with U.S. taxpayer dollars.

Then there is his willingness to send brave young men and women to fight in Afghanistan and other fronts around the world with one hand tied behind their backs because of lack of proper equipment, politically based withdrawal timelines and rules of engagement that he would never impose on his own Secret Service detail.

I could continue, but you get the point.

And the point is this: Can America afford to have a president who doesn’t value human life?

I don’t know how to put it any more bluntly.

It is hardly Obama’s only character problem. It is hardly Obama’s only disqualification for office. It is hardly Obama’s only liability.

But it is a glaring one – and someone needs to say it.

Obama is a disgrace to this republic.

His policies and his actions are an abomination to the God he claims to worship.

This nation has only a matter of days left to decide whether this is the kind of man they want leading them in Washington.

I pray every U.S. citizen with a brain gives this question serious consideration before casting his or her ballot in the most important election in U.S. history.

It really is a matter of life and death.
