Consider the issues of Medicare Advantage, FAU Israel Apartheid Week, Pink Floyd musician at the 92nd St Y and  hopefully, Johnathan Pollard.  The Obama Administration and your elected representatives are taking notice of public opinion .Next will be the Keystone Project and Clean Air Acts.  But watch out for those politicos that speak loudly but then shake their heads woefully when the results prove disastrous.. Now we have that brave soul Joe Lieberman pushing in the WSJ for arming the Syrian rebels and military airstrikes in their support ....This will give us more prestige among the moderates...HE SAYS. I say let them fight their own civil war.  The claim that Assad caused 70,000 casualties is absurd. He did not start the rebellion and the Golan Heights was not a worrisome border.
