Mouna Diab, once an activist against stereotyping Muslims as violent terrorists. Now under arrest for supporting violent Muslim terrorists.

Once urged tolerance and acceptance, now charged with terrorism and gunrunning...

Laval, Quebec resident Mouna Diab was arrested last year for violating a Canadian-backed international arms embargo aimed at Lebanon.

The 26-year-old was charged at the time with attempting to smuggle assault weapons parts to the Lebanon-based, Iranian-backed Hezbollah terrorist organization.

The Lebanese-Canadian woman was also just charged under Canada's post-9/11 anti-terrorism laws of acting for "the benefit of, at the direction of, or in association with a terrorist group" according to a statement by the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP).

The National Post (of Canada) reports this is the first time Canada has charged anyone directly with Hezbollah.

Mouna Diab - gunrunner and terrorism supporter?Mouna Diab - gunrunner and terrorism supporter?

Delving into her past, it was uncovered that:

"Prior to her arrest, Ms. Diab was vice-president of the Association of Young Lebanese Muslims.

Her activism was focused partly on changing the stereotypes that too often associate Muslims with terrorism and violence."

Terror Attacks Planned Against Canada...

The RCMP also stated that Hezbollah is "primarily involved in logistics and operational support activities and fundraising" within Canada.

Nonetheless, fears persist that the Tehran regime may unleash Hezbollah world-wide if Iranian nuclear facilities are attacked by the West.

Following the 2008 killing of Hezbollah terror chief Imad Mugniyah:

"Canadian authorities warned Canadian Jewish groups that Hezbollah might attempt a revenge attack in Canada."

The Hezbollah network is reportedly larger in Canada than most Westerners believe.

Also cited in the National Post report:

"The Hezbollah presence in Canada goes back at least two decades.

In 1993, a Hezbollah member named Mohamed Hussein Al Husseini told the Canadian Security Intelligence Service that Hezbollah had operatives 'in all of Canada.'

Several senior Hezbollah members are alleged to be Canadians, including Faouzi Ayoub, a former Toronto man who took part in a hijacking and was added to the FBI’s most wanted terrorists list last July."
