Obama Has Childish Hissy Fit Over Senate Gun Loss

When my son was eight-years-old he began to get into football.  He would sit next to me-- watch and root for the NY Jets game every week on TV.  The Jets had a good team even upset the heavily favored Colts in the first round of the playoffs. But as they tend to do after building up their fan's hopes, the Jets got crushed by Oakland in the second round by a score of 30-10.


My son was beside himself. Rather than just being upset at the loss and uttering the Jet fan's cry "Same old Jets," Perry acted his age and cried for two days repeating over and over that the Oakland Raiders cheated.  He was a child and it was his first of many losses as a NY Jets fan.


Yesterday the President's attempted watering down of gun rights failed in the Senate, it was his first major loss in the Senate. Rather than act like a leader Barack Obama took his first big loss the same way my eight-year-old son reacted that NY Jets loss over ten years ago, he cried like a baby and lashed out that the winners cheated.

President Obama angrily blamed the defeat Wednesday of his centerpiece gun-control proposal on lies spread by the National Rifle Association, calling it “a pretty shameful day for Washington.”

Standing before family members of victims of the Newtown, Conn., school shooting who he shipped to DC to act as his props despite the sequester budget cuts.

“The gun lobby and its allies willfully lied about the bill,” Mr. Obama said in the White House rose garden about 90 minutes after the vote. “It came down to politics.”

This President continually used fake statistics on gun violence and people denied gun permits to try and sell his gun bill, however in his world when people counter his arguments with the truth it is THEY who are lying.

The president put the blame squarely on the NRA, which he accused of spreading falsehoods that the legislation would lead to a national gun registry.

“They claimed that it would create some sort of big-brother gun registry, even though it did the opposite,” Mr. Obama said. “This pattern of spreading untruths … served a purpose. A minority in the U.S. Senate decided it wasn’t worth it. They blocked common-sense gun reforms, even while these families looked on from the Senate gallery. It’s not going to happen because 90 percent of Republicans just voted against that idea.”

Actually the number one reason the bill failed was that if enacted it would not stop violence like the horror at Newtown--even Joe Biden agreed that it would have no effect.


The senate refused to pass a bill which would be observed by law-abiding gun owners but ignored by criminals.  This was not a victory for Obama's latest scapegoat the "nefarious" gun lobby, but a victory for the American people and freedom.

As for the POTUS, it may have been his first major loss but he should rid himself of the crybaby act. My son stopped crying at Jet losses by the time he was nine--Obama is 51.
