It was the second time the pair was taken into custody. Late Friday, they were taken away from the apartment with a woman as investigators searched the luxury SUV.

Investigators believe 19-year-old Dzhokhar Tsarnaev once shared the apartment with the two men.

The entire complex was locked down for several hours yesterday. The vanity plate on the front of the vehicle shared by the two men arrested reads "Terrorista #1,' and an expletive-filled bumper sticker was posted on the car's rear.

One neighbor, who only gave her name as Jean, said the late night takedown made her nervous.

"It's pretty scary," she said. "They were banging on the door like crazy.

They said, 'If you don't come out, we're gonna let the dog loose.'"

It was still unclear if the two men had any knowledge of the twin bombings that killed three and injured more than 180 on Monday.

The neighbor said she never really paid any attention to the neighbors, who seemed part of the area's college crowd.

"I never noticed that license plate before," she said. "I almost want to move. It's that bad."
