The race-baiting left had to tell its familiar story and they weren't going to let anything get in the way of telling that story. They have to tell and retell that story because it establishes their moral authority to run our society and our lives.
Obama had two radically different approaches to three Egyptian governments. The non-Brotherhood governments were threatened and criticized. The Muslim Brotherhood government was neither threatened nor criticized. Non-Brotherhood governments were told that they would have to make room for the Brotherhood or face a loss of American support, but when the Muslim Brotherhood began to wield absolute power, there were no threats from Hillary Clinton or Obama.
Al Sharpton, MSNBC's in-house bigot and hate-crime king, had his usual words of wisdom to offer after the Zimmerman verdict.
The New York Times, which is wiling to offer its editorial page to any terrorist with a Jihad and a dream, offers it to Nasser Al-Awlaki, the father of Al Qaeda leader Anwar Al-Awlaki, who just wants to know why his grandson, Abdulrahman Al-Awlaki, who was hanging out with an Al Qaeda leader was killed.
There's a basic clash between two judicial and moral systems when it comes to rape. The Western system considers rape a crime of violence against the woman.
Broadcasting news that comes from the government is not a good precedent, these days it's really hard to see the difference between that and the mainstream media. It's not as if we have much of an independent media anyway so it's hard to get agitated over the government version of CNN or CBS getting some airtime. Especially when Al Jazeera has its own cable news channel.
It's hard to feel too sorry for Boilermakers Local 154. Not only did the International Brotherhood of Boilermakers endorse Obama, but Local 154 spent the money and influence of its members pushing "clean coal". Trying to jump on the Green bandwagon probably seemed like a clever gimmick, aside from the fact that Obama and his Green Energy minions really hate coal. Obama even said so during his first election.
NSA leaker Edward Snowden, who's residing in a Moscow airport and now seeking asylum in Russia, has hired legal counsel there that might get him purchase with the Russian security state. AFP reports that Anatoly Kucherena, "a Russian lawyer who helped Snowden file an application for asylum in Russia earlier Tuesday," happens to "sit on the 'public council' of the Federal Security Service (FSB), which was created by Putin in 2006."
As KGB chairman Yury Andropov told me, a billion adversaries could inflict far greater damage on America than could a few millions. We needed to instill a Nazi-style hatred for the Jews throughout the Islamic world, and to turn this weapon of the emotions into a terrorist bloodbath against Israel and its main supporter, the United States.
The Nation's antisemitic hysteria reminds me of the new antisemitic madness that exploded in Moscow in 1998, soon after one of my former colleagues in the KGB community, General Yevgeny Primakov, became Russia's prime minister. Russian television showed General Albert Makashov, a member of the Duma, screaming: "I will round up all the Yids [pejorative for Jews] and send them to the next world." Makashov alleged that the Jews were ruining the motherland, and he called for the "extermination of all Jews in Russia."
Imagine people that Mexico, a country that closely resembles a train that went off the rails into an exploding volcano filled with cocaine, thinks are a burden. Does taking them in really sound like a great plan?
The Peace Process between Israel and the terrorists has become like one of those washed up rock stars who still does shows but no one really expects anything from him anymore. Everyone knows the routine, the bizarre antics and the crazy statements.
Musician Akon has called for black Americans to start making an exodus "back to Africa" following the verdict in the Zimmerman trial. Akon, who was born in the United States but primarily grew up in Senegal, declared that black Americans "don't deserve this treatment" after the jury's decision.
I wonder if the large Jewish community in Florida had something to do with Jesse Jackson's decision.
Great plan. I hear China still has that tank guy who runs over people. I bet he could offer a lot of insight into the Zimmerman case. Also I'm sure that Libya will be happy to take a break from murdering black people to come over here and investigate Trayvon Martin's shooting.
I don't want to say that Stevie Wonder acted stupidly when he foolishly announced a plan to boycott 21 states, including the most populous states like California and Texas, with a combined population of 200 million people. I'll leave that to his bookers and agents to explain to him that he acted stupidly when he announced a boycott of half the country.
Logically, no one, not even the parents. But parents are responsible for bringing a child into existence, and for its education. They are responsible for preparing their children to live as rational, responsible adults. Public school educators could make that same claim, citing the need for a civil society of a population of rational, responsible adults and that compulsory schooling was the best answer to that need, because the state had the facilities and resources to address a multitude of issues. And I've never read of any public school advocate say that without qualifying the claim by including some form of collectivist virtue that should be imbued in children as well as in the parents.
Despicable true believers, these ingrates are. Idealists who, unhelpfully, refuse to get their asses in line. Unlike the sage realists and political pragmatists who have given us control over the House, which we've put to excellent use fooling Americans into believing Republicans are no different than their more popular Democrat peers — and all it took to pull off that minor miracle was a clever strategy of governing like Democrats and pushing a Democrat agenda.
