Holder: I have no intention of stepping down

Grassfire Update:

On the eve of appearing before a Senate committee investigating him for perjury, U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder told NBC Nightly News that he currently has "no intention" of stepping down from his post because, as he put it, "There's some things that I want to do, some things I want to get done."

Considering his dismissal of charges against the Black Panthers who intimidated Philadelphia voters; his failure to defend the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA); his stonewalling the Fast and Furious investigation; and being cited for contempt of Congress, one might think Holder has done enough already.

+ + Americans Are Loudly Declaring, "ENOUGH!"

Today's appearance before the Senate, which is centered around whether the attorney general lied about his involvement in "the potential prosecution" of any members of the press, is just another chapter in his pock-marked tenure as the nation's chief law enforcement official.

Since telling a House committee on May 15 that "This is not something I've ever been involved in, heard of, or would think would be wise policy," we've learned that Holder had personally signed off on search warrants for a Fox News reporter!

Gerard, Americans have endured enough of his lack of respect for our laws, his trampling of our Constitution, and his relentless assault on our personal liberties.

Holder may think he has more to do, but growing numbers of grassroots Americans are rising up and loudly declaring, "ENOUGH!"

+ + Critical Petition Delivery Next Week

With investigations continuing, your voice demanding Holder's resignation is more important than ever. That's why Grassfire is finalizing plans to hand-deliver at least 200,000 "Holder Must Go!" petitions to leading lawmakers next week!

As of this morning, we are just 24,000 petitions
shy of this important delivery goal. So Grassfire is asking members of our team, who haven't yet taken a stand against Eric Holder, to do so right now by going here and signing our petition.

Gerard, Holder himself said he has no intention of leaving and that there's more he wants to do. Given his scandalous past, this can only mean more attacks on our liberties and our way of life -- unless grassroots Americans make a stand by going here now to sign the "Holder Must Go!" petition:

After signing the petition, rally your family and friends. Encourage them to follow your lead by adding their names, so Grassfire can represent them on Capitol Hill next week.

Gerard, the American people deserve so much more from the nation's chief law enforcement official -- but it will only happen if those same Americans take action and speak up at this critical time!

Thank you, in advance, for taking a stand.
