"I beat a prisoner so hard he died three days later... no one did anything about it... you can't do anything." — Saeed Ghaffari, guard, Rajai-Shahr Prison, Iran

Saeed Ghaffari, one of Loghman Moradi's attackers, asked him to deny the beating and tell the doctors that his injuries were due to to other factors.

Apparently the regime is worried about an uprising both inside and outside prison if Loghman Moradi dies as a result of his beating.

Due to Loghman Moradi's fragile condition after he was beaten inside Rajai-Shahr prison by three prison guards before his court proceedings on Sunday February 23, 2014 , prison authorities were forced to take him to a hospital outside prison, according to a February 24, 2014 report by the International Committee Against Execution [ICAE].

In hospital, doctors found blood in Moradi's urine and stated that this condition was due to the damage sustained during the beating.

While in hospital, Saeed Ghaffari, one of Loghman Moradi's attackers, asked him to deny the beating and tell the doctors that his injuries were due to other factors. Moradi refused the request and reminded the attacker about the blows delivered to his rib cage, face and head by three guards until he was unconscious. Ghaffari then boasted: "I beat a prisoner so hard that he died three days later... no one did anything about it... you can't do anything."

Loghman Moradi is presently unable to eat due to severe bruising and has difficulty breathing. He was to be taken to hospital again on February 25 for treatment; apparently the regime is worried about an uprising both inside and outside prison if Loghman Moradi dies as a result of the beating.
